almost Christmas
we are going to the outlaws for dinner & Christmas with Brenda's aunt & uncle, working on the 540 in the pole barn, replacing timing chain guides the book says 23 hours it a big job if I sent it to a shop its about $2,400 I am doing it myself its $400.00 I am giving myself a present by saving some money.

Ready for Winter
Ruthie is ready to come out of the water its 42 degrees & partly cloudy at least it quit raining. I hope we get a real summer next year.

time to get ready for winter
we have not made it to the boat for two weekends in a row, the weather has been terrible, this Sunday we should make it there to start unloading all the odds & ends that seem to accumulate. This summer it was a cooler than normal, looking for a warmer summer next year.
